BIO: Whether onstage or off, I'm an athlete first and foremost. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always gotten a thrill out of pushing my body and mind to their limits just to see what I could do. I’ve never really needed a reason—just an earnest, worthwhile challenge.
My “fit life” started with a love of gymnastics and ballet, but as a little girl growing up in sunny Southern California, I saw life as my playground. From swimming to skateboarding, add in hiking and kickball, climbing any and everything, dancing, skiing, soccer, track and field and more…as a kid, I tried my hand at pretty much any activity that allowed me to put my whole body into motion. As an adult, I sought new ways to channel my energy and started lifting weights primarily as a means to reduce stress; after discovering that strength training had positive effects on not just my body, but my mind and spirit as well, it quickly became a regular habit.
With holistic health as my ultimate goal, I’m always looking for new ways to engage my body and sculpt it into better form, to continuously increase my strength, stamina, and overall peace of mind. I’m a firm believer in the adage that fitness is not a trend but a lifestyle, and just like with every other part of my life, I will never stop trying to improve on myself, overcome my weaknesses, and beat ME at my very best.
