Wow, where to begin! When I first joined Dolphin Fitness Gym never in my wildest dreams did I think I would accomplish what I did on June 15, 2013 during the NGA New Jersey Extravaganza. With the support of my trainer Franco Jamil and many of my fellow gym members, that night changed my life as I proved to myself that I could do whatever I put my mind to and to never say never.
I had always felt I had something within me to be involved in some sort of sport but I never took the time or the mind set to figure out what it was. Well, people say things happen certain ways and at certain times for a reason, I guess my time had come. I totally changed my lifestyle and the gym became my first home besides being at work. For 8 months I dedicated myself to being the best I could be for this competition and it paid off.
For anyone reading this, always believe in yourself and your inner spirit. Never fear the unknown for you will then never know - and as they say, knowing is half the battle. Thank you NGA and Franco Jamil for giving me this opportunity.
