BIO: Due to being born with growth hormone deficiency resulting in very short stature, and hormonal imbalance, I had to endure many years of growth hormone shots to grow, and a lifetime of taking cortisone to balance my hormonal issues through early adulthood. This created permanent physiological and metabolic issues such as weight gain swings, among other physical things. I would try to get my weight under control, win the battle, and then lose the next one. In 2016, after losing control of my lifestyle and weight gain situation, I decided to hire a personal trainer to help me. In the past I had had personal trainers, but I didn't see that special commitment from them to me, which didn't inspire me. This time it was different. This trainer, Joe, helped me from meals plans design, to routines, keeping a watchful eye on my progress. In spring of 2017, after seeing my progress, he encouraged me to train for an NGA physique show. He said it would be a great goal to set, and that I had a chance of placing. I hesitantly did, never thinking I would be an athlete, as I never was one. Joe also became my coach, giving me feedback on my posing and all that entitles a show. He had the right vision for me, and at my first NGA competition, took multiple first place wins and my NGA Pro card. I committed to my goals, and I persevered, thanks to an awesome trainer. Now I can say what I never said in my life, I'm an athlete. And above all, and most proudly, a natural athlete.
