BIO: I’m married to Robert for 30 years, we have 2 grown children, and 3 grandchildren. I served in the US Air Force and retired in 1997 after 21 years of active duty service. After retirement I took on the challenge from 1999 – 2009 as the Langley Air Force Base Group Fitness Coordinator for both facilities. I was always in “workout mode”, and love working with the leadership at Langley AFB with the same goal – to keep our military family “fit to fight!” I enjoy my work as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, and weight/competition training. I got my Master Pro Card in October 2010 and turned Pro on March 5th 2011, after just beginning my competition Journey in 2009.

It all started in 2005 when I was diagnosed with hypertension I knew it was time to make a change, so I started eating clean, and weight training. This eventually led to my first Figure competition at the age of 55! My very first competition was on Mother’s Day, May 10, 2009 I placed in the Top 5! I am completely off of the prescribed medication for hypertension, and I received my Pro Card in record time. I am blessed to have two wonderful girlfriends - Japonica Walker, and Inola Garrett that keep me focused on taking care of myself through nutrition and weight training; I’ve got to give a “Quack-Out” to those two ladies. As a personal trainer My philosophy is that when a person is in great physical shape, they feel great, and will be more effective handling the day-to-day tasks. I believe that “discipline determines destiny.” I love what I do; helping individuals realize their goals and executing a plan to make them come true. I thank God everyday for my life, health, and strength to be able to continue this competition journey at my age.
